Broadway is one of the most beautiful villages in the Cotswolds, and its properties deserve decorating with real care. Many of the homes along the High Street and the surrounding lanes are period buildings, with a good number listed and a conservation area covering the heart of the village.
That brings its own challenges. Original timber windows, doors and joinery need proper preparation, careful filling and the right primer if the finish is going to last through Cotswold winters. Older interiors often have uneven walls, deep skirtings and exposed beams that take longer to cut in around and simply can't be rushed. And in a conservation area, external colour choices sometimes need thinking through before a brush is lifted.
